how would you approach the topic stuffing and feeding in public. I would like to go out dining with a friend who has the same kink. I agreed to let him feed me in public. Now I'm a little worried.

Even though you agreed, you can definitely change your mind.

I suggest you speak to him again and either come to a new agreement, maybe with a safe word in case you need to stop completely, or postpone / don't do it.

There is this barrier in my mind as an adult person being fed by an other adult. It fantasy it all comes easy but if i fantasy meets reality it gets complicated.

You have bodily autonomy. Full stop. If you feel in anyway uncomfortable, you have the right to decline, regardless of whether you initially agreed. For that matter, you can change your mind mid-bite if you want to. If your friend cares about you as a person, they'll respect your wishes.

As far as exploring things like this, only do what makes you feel at ease. In our home, my husband has hand-fed me, funnel-fed me, and tied me up with my eager consent. I've definitely stuffed myself in restaurants with him many, many times, but I don't want to be fed in public. Because he loves and respects me, he's never pushed it. Communication is do important.

Yes to the safe word. It all has to be respectful and your friend should honor that. Maybe have a backup plan if you need to leave early if they are being pushy.

Public feedings, though can be hot, can be uncomfortable. Sometimes people stare but I have found most don't. Now if they mix in belly jiggling and roll bouncing that's when it will feel like a spotlight is on you two.

Stay safe but still try to have fun with this experience if you go through.
